All through my life, I've had problems with homesickness, but now that I'm going off to college, it seems like it's roaring up mulitplied in power, and I have no idea how to deal with it.
How have you guys dealt with homesickness, if at all?

By eagerly awaiting the start of a new school year.
I used to think I might be homesick while on campus. Now I know it's that while I'm here at home, I miss the dorms. Who knew?

But, I don't have any other choice during the summer, at least until I get my own place. Oh wow! I can't really imagine that! I mean, yea, home isn't too great; but I'm leaving so many friends and things behind (including my gilfriend).
Whenever I think about it logically, everything is fine; I'm ready, and I know everything will be great.

Occupy your mind with other thoughts whenever you get homesick? I have had occasions when I got homesick but you just have to convince yourself that since you can't be home anytime soon anyway you might as well make use of your time focusing on what you need or want to do instead of dwelling in your homesickness. This way when you do return home you can be proud of the fact that you have done your best in your endeavours while you were away.
