There are so many delicious animals out there, it's tough to decide on just one. The subject is simple: which meaty lump of animal carcass graces your palate in the most savory manner?

Personally, I'm a huge bird fan. Chicken is okay, but mostly duck and turkey as well as pheasant. Unfortunately though, I've never had quail. I eat turkey sandwiches almost everyday with alpine lace swiss and Miracle Whip. :9 Duck should be served medium with the fat. It's best to remove the fat first though and cook both sides until crispy rather than leaving it on and crisping only one side. Duck is also good in curry but with no fat.

The only pheasant I had was bacon wrapped and it was amazing. But it's hard to say how much I like pheasant, because bacon is always amazing. You could wrap it on brussel sprouts, and it would still kick ass. It's safe to say that bacon may be my second favorite meat, but I'm not a huge pig fan. The only really good pig meats are bacon, pepperoni, and capicola. Pork loin is decent too, and also served best medium.

I like my burgers and steaks medium rare. Steaks are great wrapped in bacon, or topped with bleu cheese.

Animals I've eaten:
Alligator
Bison
Carp
Catfish
Chicken
Clams
Cow
Crab (King, Soft Shelled)
Crayfish
Duck
Halibut (best fish :9)
Lamb
Lobster
Mussels
Octopus
Oysters (Evening Cove I think, vomit)
Pheasant
Pig
Rabbit
Red Snapper
Salmon (Norwegian, Copper River)
Scallops
Shrimp
Squid
Swordfish
Trout
Tuna (Albacore, Yellow Fin, Blue Fin)
Turkey
Turtle
Walleye

I'm gonna go with cow on this one. Beef is great; especially meatloaf, steak, roast beef...mmm. Fish and chicken are very close runners up, though. I like lunch meat turkey, but regular turkey is too dry.

I haven't eaten many animals, though, nothing out of the ordinary (lamb, cow, pig, fish, chicken, turkey, shrimp). But steak rules, and I have a preference for medium rare and medium.

I eat chicken. Lots of chicken. Chicken is my favorite. I of course enjoy steak and burgers too.

cow. i loove steak and cheeseburgers, i couldn't live without them (..hay theres no pickels on my cheezburger!).

chicken and turkey, especially the latter, are a little dry for my tastes but i'll still eat them. i don't like pork much unless it's bacon. a lot of the fish i eat has no taste at all unless i smother it with lemon juice, then it's the greatest thing ever. shrimp is yummy, too.

Didn't your parents warn you about that?

I haven't had many different kinds of fish, mostly cod and tilapia. Shrimp and fried clams are great for seafood as well. I love sausage and bacon too. I've also never eaten duck, or any other bird besides chicken and turkey. So, my preference for chicken is probably partially due to lack of experience with other meat.

My favorite meat would be cow. Steak=life.

My second favorite would be chicken. I don't get to experiment with food much, so I haven't tried many different things.

I'm allergic to fish. :/

Fish. Ahi Tuna and Mahi-Mahi are the best as meat, and smoked salmon is the best on bagels and the like. Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Turkey and then Steak come after that.

As for the weirdest meat, I've had:

Buffalo
Elk
Quail
Rabbit
Rattlesnake

Bison and Rabbit are awesome. I've only had Rabbit once, but it was memorable. Also, bison tastes just like beef but its better for you. I hate fish with a passion, except for whatever fish they use in Fish & Chips. The weirdest is frog and it sucked. :( Quail isn't that weird, its just like chicken. :3

I think fish are the best, especially things like salmon, tuna, and swordfish. But I also could not live without things like hot dogs, hamburgers and steak (T-bone's my favorite).

In my sandwich for lunch everday I have a meat that I know as "pol?dwica" (I shop for cold cuts at a polish deli) which after doing a quick search on the internet found out that it is called beef tenderloin in english. That is hands down one of my favourite meat products so I'll have to go with cow. I also like turkey a lot.

I could type up some unnecessarily contrived post explaining just how much I love the following, but I'll just respond with...

FISH.

I'm a huge seafood fan, but it's so hard to find fresh (If it taste fishy, it's not fresh) and well-prepared seafood here, So I'll have to say my second favorite meat choice: Lamb.
It's so good and sweet and tender...
But every time I order it, my mom always mumbles under her breath
"Mary had a little lamb..."

....She's so evil...

But the most interesting meat I've had would have to be Alligator.
Taste like chicken, chews like gum.

I can't stand most meat. I absolutely hate fish, and it stinks so much I can't bear to be on the same floor as it. Then I find things like steak and roast beef ect. are just too chewy. And I will never eat lamb, due to it's name :( Poor baby sheep. Although I do know I don't like it, having mistaken a lamb kebab for a chicken one once.
Pretty much the only meat I know I like is Sausages, Beef, Ham, Bacon, and Beef Burgers.
And Ostrich Burgers, which are both my favourite and the most unusual meat I've eaten. (I'm not really that exotic with trying meats am I? D:)

Mmm... So.. Much... Meeaaattt... *drools*

In the poll, I chose the almighty cow, who serves us by making us delicious steaks and chezburgers.

However, my favourite meat is...

Dog.

Sorry dog-lovers, but the succulent chow-chow is the most delicious meat EVAR.

Smokey-streaked bacon. : :D

Both squid and octopus are chewy lumps of muscle. I am fine with beef but I prefer lamb chops.

Eaten :
Cow
Pig
Sheep
Chicken
Duck
Octopus
Squid
Turkey
Rabbit
Ostrich
Tuna
Prawns

Cow is the bestest. :P

However, duck owns as well, it's so...*mouth waters*

As for chicken and fish, I eat too much of them, so I'm tired of them. ><

Has anyone tried Rabbit?
I'm interested to know how it taste; I have some killer recipes for rabbit, but need to know if it has a flavor my family would appreciate or not.

Rabbit's meat is white like a birds and very tender, but doesn't "taste like chicken" as everyone claims "new" meat tastes like. It's not immensely flavorful, but it isn't bad either. I wouldn't go too far out of my way to find it, but if I had a recipe and it happened to be at the store, I might buy some for variety. You would probably need awhole rabbit to feed a family of four since they don't have much meat (depending on what you're making), or if you plan on using only tenderloins, about two or three pieces a person, which is 8-12 rabbits.

Cow
Veal (baby Cow)
Lamb
Turkey
Chicken
Duck
Whiting
Whitefish
Pike
Herring
Salmon
Trout
Tuna
Perch
Sunfish
Bass
Sea Bass
Bluefish
Flounder

I have them raw, salted, brined, brazed, broiled, roasted, barbecued, in sauce, in jelly, under horseraddish, with gravy, with cheese (fish only), pan fired, oven fried, stuffed, and more.

Keep in mind that I pretty much listed the only kosher animals. Except sheep, but I haven't had that.
Animals ust have split hooves and chew their cud.
Birds must be listed as "fit" (translation of kosher)
Fish must have fins and scales, and not be bottom feeders.
