I've noticed, through talking to people I interact with in every day life and by reading a few articles, that some people have what I call 'thought habits.'

Basically, it's something you often think/imagine frequently, particularly when you look at something/someone in particular. For example, when I was about 12 I used to play Tony Hawks Underground more than any other game. I played so much that I could beat any adult that tried to verse me. I played it so much, that when I was in the car, I frequently imagined that there was a skater doing grinds and tricks all along whatever we passed.

- Whenever I'm with someone in a car and we go to the petrol station, when I watch them going into the building I always imagine someone pulling out a gun and robbing the place. I don't think I've never not imagined it at a petrol station.

- Whenever I'm made to wait alone outside, go in to the shops and get something, or go with someone to a train station, I always imagine that I'm gonna get mugged. I have a pretty funny story regarding that, actually, but it's completely off topic.

- Another example is something I read about; people who play Tetris frequently often imagine all structures they see to be part of a giant tetris block.

- When I was talking to this guy, he said that whenever he interacted with someone, he imagined himself killing them. Of course, that guy's a bit retarded so let's just ignore him for now.

Remember, These things can be so subtle that you don't actually realize that you do these kinds of things (of course, not exclusively these, everyone has their own!) until you do them. You may not remember all of them the first time you post (I'll probably be back later for seconds), so make as many posts as you like. =)

Whenever I listen to music, I imagine what its note chart would be like on Guitar Hero/Rock Band and me playing it. This doesn't have to do with looking at something and thinking of something else, but it does follow the same guidelines.

If I am running outside, I think about what it would be like if my friend, Keri, was there. That is how everything else is basically. I think about her all the time and it annoys me that I can't stop.

I think about songs a lot, depending on the situation, and often subconsciously. For example, I was observing a woman's features once as I walked behind her, and I eventually came to the realization that Van Halen's "Drop Dead Legs" had been playing through my head. This happens to me frequently with all sorts of different things.

Whenever I see a tough looking person walk by, I often have daydreams of them attacking me, with an epic showdown ensuing. The good part is that I always win in my daydreams.

Whenever someone says something, my head always writes it out in words. I have no idea why.

This one's weird, so laugh if you want, I won't really care. When I'm saying my prayers at night, when I finish the first one, I always see an Emerald animation of A shiny Mew, sometimes it's not shiny. This has happened for about a week (lol).

Until I was about 14, every time I got some kind of liquid up my noccse I woudl think of a twitch breweing something in a a large black cauldron.

Also, everytime I hear Sweet Child o' mine by GNR, I think of the summer the song came out. The specific moment I think it's the Fourth of July and we're on our way to the fireworks in a part of Cleveland, and the sun is setting in the foreground as we walk through a bridge over the highway. That would make me two.

Hotel California makes me think of a similar situation except we're leaving someone's house. At the time my mother had a Buick Regal, which was a huge **** car. The imagdry that relates to that song is limited to the moments befoer I clisbmed into th care,

Some games remind me a lot of my twin brother, especially Nintedo two pplyare games. :( If I could repeat the NES-N64/PSX years...

Whenever I'm alone in my room, I always think of a ghost coming out of nowhere. :/

Also when I'm in a car, I imagine some kind of animal running along beside the car.

i used to play need 4 speed most wanted alot so whenever i was in the car i could picture my car speeding, ramming other cars or into obstacles, and best of all jumping off ledges.

Whenever I'm listening to video game music (whether it be while playing the game itself or not), my mind drifts itself into place to a point where I imagine myself in that video game with that music playing while I "play" the game.

After saying something, I instantly review it in my head thinking "How could I have said that better?". Same goes after performing physical actions.

And, of course, before even getting to that point of reviewing it, my mind tussles with itself: "Maybe I'll say this... no, I might look stupid, so... no...". Hooray, insecurity.

lol, I think about things a lot...usually very unnecessarily. I don't think, but sometimes I feel like everything has something to it. Hard to explain, but...basically I think a lot (especially while listening to dance music).

When I can't see up the road I'm crossing I imagine a car beating into me, by the end of the scene I'm on the other side. [:

When someone really annoys me I imagine me grabbing their face and beating it against a wall.

Neither of these concern me very much.

When I was younger, every time I looked at a basket with a cover over it when it was night out and all my lights were out, I would imagine my late cat Buster jumping out and trying to scratch my face off. Guess it says something that I'm still scared of the dark. -.-

Every time I see a buff guy, I imagine him trying to beat the crap out of me, me running, then curling up in a ball just as he's on my tail. He then trips over me, flying face-first into the ground, and I sprint in the other direction. =]

At night, when I'm trying to sleep, I always imagine a ghost in my room. Darn phasmophobia. -_-

. I'm scared of someone breaking into my house; I always double and triple-check the doors, windows, etc. and reset the alarm. Oh, and I really can't stand being in total darkness (at night), I feel so vulnerable.

. I always think of needles, scissors, knives, and anything to do with physical pain whenever anyone says / mentions "Doctor" , "Medical", "Blood" or any similar terms. I hate vaccines.

. I normally associate animals with people. For example, a teacher at my school who I dislike strongly who has a HUGE double chin I always imagine like a turkey.

. I always notice strong coincidences. It doesn't matter if the name of someone I know somewhere else is the same as someone I know at home and they're both from the same country, but it still is a bit weird, especially since they're the same age.

I forgot to mention that I think of music along with Keri. And whereas I don't watch music videos, the notes schemes play through my head as mentioned earlier....

- I'm ridiculously afraid of the indoor's dark; turn some lights off and my mind will not shut up with its waking nightmares of monstrous creatures and malevolent beings lurking in the room. I never think of what they'll do, only that they exist, and for some reason, that terrifies me beyond all reason. I swear, I'm to grow up nyctophobic at this rate...

- I associate certain songs, places, games and objects with certain colors and feelings, but it's far too specific and overdetailed to even begin trying to explain.

- Any buzz I hear is a bee / wasp / yellow jacket until proven otherwise. No exceptions.

-I suppose that I'm working on a fictitious world (I am. You should see my notebooks...) and whenever I look at something, I visualize how I could add it in. Heck, you should see what I did with my watch!

i play tetris all time on the computer, and i recently got it for the ds. i don't imagine blocks as buildings, but it's all i can see when i close my eyes.

additionally, i have this thing where i map out scenes while i'm falling asleep, because i write and that's when i get all my good ideas. really frequently, i get caught in this loop where someone will do something i don't like, and they keep repeating it. it's usually a single motion (ex. pulling out a cigarette), and the more i try to progress the more i get stuck.

also, i always imagine there's someone standing in my doorway when i turn my back away from it.

Since I started thinking about this idea for a story and characters, when I realize something about myself (or someone else), I think of ways I can poetically apply it to my characters.

I am writing a fictitious story and I do the same thing.

If I play a video game repeatedly while I am nauseated I become nauseated if I ever play it in the future.

Sometimes I think of completely obscure situations from the smallest inspiration. Sometimes I think of them from no inspiration.

I think of every person I know to any extent (including you people) as a certain, er, not exactly taste, kind of like a sound wave mixed with a smell, if that makes any sense. If it didn't, then be satisfied with taste.

I'd post really, really wasted for the lulz (and everyone else's) if I could avoid being embarrassed by myself.

i get inspiration for my stories by putting myself in different positions (i.e. what would happen if this or if that happened. one of my more popular stories involves a kid who found out that he's the reencarnation of mikael sent to earth as a human so that he could feel their pain so he would help to stop the end days once the seven seals are unsealed battling against evil lucifel blah blah blah)
