What kind of vehicle are you driving that only weighs 300 lbs.? The only thing I can think of is some sort of bike. I do not think they are 80% plastic though.....

What does the pronunciation of nfields name have to do with this? :?

1) It is a bike!!! Maybe not 80%, but it is up there.

2) Curiosity...

I thought we were talking mainly about cars...

How do you get a bike to go faster than the speed limit?

Off topic: I always think of it as N-field...As in saying the actual letter "n" and adding "field". And I think of KOL40 as coal-forty.

Generally by slapping on a motor and putting a tag saying "Honda" or "Kawasaki" or "Indian" or something on the frame.

I think that by bike, he means motercycle. That said, a motorcyle is still big enough to run down a pedestrian.

On the other hand KOL40 has already specifyed that he only speeds on highways and roads he is familiar with. Apperently they are without cross walks.

I'm going to risk an assumption that KOL40 agrees with you CJ, exept that he feels that it is okay to speed on the freeway or on the open road. I realy don't care that much either way, but were he around other cars going faster than he was I would encourage him to speed up. My reasons for this have already been stated.

Now that thats done, both of you quit arguing about who is more immature.

It's a MOTORCYCLE!!! You would have to have the legs of god to get a bicycle to go 70MPH!!! :D

Well, most poeple do. It is my XboxLIVE gamertag and I play a lot of gears. I also use the ColeTrain!!! But really it is pronounced as initials (K-O-L-40) I have been using it since Mortal Kombat 4 (I think around 10 years ago?).

@DLA - that is a "yes" for your third paragraph.

I have something entirely new to say:

Saturday, I dropped my bike. I was coming around the corner too fast, hit a patch of dirt and quickly was introduced to the mixture of dirt, rocks, and grass that was the side of the road. I never saw that dirt patch coming, but it saw me coming!!! And guess what? I was doing about 70MPH. The limit was 35. And guess what else? Who cares? I am the one responsible for the damages; namely about a 800 dollar paint job, and if i had died? Guess what else? My business. Guess what else? As soon as i stopped skidding, I picked my bike up, and started off on the same road doing 55-70MPH. And will do it again.

Fine by me. Just don't do it if there's other people on the damn road. If I was a driver, I wouldn't want to deal with idiots like you trying to get yourselves killed.

Incidently, you seem to be rather pleased by that fact that you have to spend $800 on your bike because of your own reckless driving. I assume you must have a lot of cash to hand, if $800 means that little to you.

Unless no one loves or cares about you KOL40, it isn't just your business if you die. Maybe next time you crash because you've been speeding you will die or maybe not, you might just have to pay damages or have to live with killing someone/more than one person; pay for an operation you had to have to save your life; pay a fine; pay a jail sentence...
Whatever, you'd deserve most of that for your recklessness; all I know is I won't be taking those risks, whatever road it's on, and I definitely wouldn't, (as goldenquagsire said you do), seem pleased about doing so.

My fellow Englishman GQ, I agree with you (of course) but it seems to depend on culture as to whether you care about this matter or not. If you look at the side profiles of the members who have posted in this thread, the difference, (unfortunately), appears obvious.

Not trying to get myself killed, having fun. And actually, I am definantly NOT pleased by the cost of my paint.

Speed limits are there to keep you safe, and i agree, they are more like guidelines, and its ok to go within mabye 10 miles of the speed limit, unless the cop who has the gun speed checker thing is an ass.

Radar gun? Also, someone else brought this up; in heavy traffic it is MUCH SAFER to go with the flow.

I don't know why there is even debate over this. We obviously need to obey the speed limit, wherever we are. All rules are meant to be followed, not broken.

There is a major road near my house, and people are speeding all the time on it. One time, some police were on the side of the road, pulling over people. People always slowed down when they saw the officers, which was rather amusing. Officers were there often, though not always. People are actually slowing down on the road now, and I haven't seen an accident happen there since(before this, I had seen(not witnessed) two).
