Same. Although, try "Hello" and "What's your name?" in French.
I want to speak Japanese. It sounds hard but useful, when you want the latest video games early.
I use translators on the intarwebz, so no need. Soon, the world will have auto-translators in everyone's brains.

Ooh, useful! The only language I know entirely is English, and I got a B in my German GCSE, so I can speak a little of that (I know how to ask for the essentials if I were to go to Germany;
Wo kanne ich die neben-est Pokemon-shop gefind?
There we go, my attempt at German. I also know this cute little coded language called G-Language. It's most fun, you add something like five extra syllables, and everone "wows!" at the complexity of your sentences!

I know English, I'm learning Spanish in school. I randomly look up Japanese things on the Internet because I am bored, and know a bit of it due to this. I also speak like, maybe, one or two phrases in German and French.
I am so talented. [/sarcasm]

English, Chinese-Mandarin and Chinese-Hokkien (a dialect). All the Malay I know are very very simple phrases and commands for footdrill in uniformed groups, so that doesn't count. I think I might learn Japanese in the future though; I listen to so many Japanese songs that it would be nice to be able to understand them as I listen to them instead of having to search for translations.

I was born in an English speaking country, so I can speak English quite well (I hope so anyway), and this year I did a Year twelve LOTE (Languages Other Than English) in advance in Vietnamese, even though I didn't perform to my expectations. Oh well. (Really, I only did it because here you get a 5 point bonus added to your Study Score if you do a LOTE.) As well as learning Vietnamese, before this year for the past six or so years I've been learning Japanese, so I suppose can "speak" that (even though I'm much better at writing things out in different languages than speaking it).
Learning different languages is too much for me, you have to practise like, everyday. Don't think I'll be learning a new one soon (Yeah, I'm one laaaaazy person) ;p

I think I know Portuguese better than anyone else in this Community (not including Blackwind)
I know English, although I wished I was a bit better at it.
I know Spanish. I can't write very well, though, and I can barely speak, but I can easily read and understand the language.
I know a bit of Italian, I have a real basic knowledge on that language. I can understand (if there's no dialects) almost quite well, I can speak enough to make myself understood and I can read, if the text is not advanced or anything.
I would like to learn French, German and Japanese. All my knowledge on Japanese is restricted to Anime.

This thread reminds me of my nickname: The Language-Learning Machine. My dad is Japanese, and he's my personal tutor for Japanese. Some goes for my mom, who is a Chinese. Once in a while my brother comes back from his studies in Malaysia for the holidays. That's when I learn some Malay from him. I guess I was rather adaptive with languages. Even though learning languages is somewhat hard, I plan to learn some Korean from my friend when we both had the time.

Heh all the languages you've listed are those I know or want to learn, but I'll probably never go beyond a third language. I know Chinese and English, but I want to learn Japanese and I think learning Korean will be cool as well, since I've been to Korea once and the trip was really really memorable. Malay would be a useful language for me since Malays make up a significant proportion of my country's population. Since it's kind of impossible to learn so many languages and be able to apply my knowledge often, I might just learn Japanese in the near future.
Well okay that was kind of random, so now we can get back on topic =p

well, I speak english
I also speak some Korean, I'm no where near fluent though.
I used to be able to speak rough Japanese when I was a kid, but then I had to learn Korean so, sadly, I forgot 100% how to. I was six, come on!
And I also speak idiot, which is how I live with my sister.....
