not sure if you've pm'd anyone yet or the problem's solved already, but you should've notified somebody if your username was causing you problems in the past and i'm sure someone could've changed it for you. there's no way in my experience that an account can be merged with another. instead, your old account will most probably be banned or deleted, i figure. pm krisp and she should be able to help you if you ask nicely.

Uhhm so i had an account about two years ago, and I forgot the password so I opened this account, (which I now use) is there anyway I can merge my accounts? mostly to delete the old one and get credit for the posts I did a few years back. Also my old account included m real name (really stupid idea) people were able to find me here via google, or people here were able to stalk me on facebook and it kinda freaked me out. Soooo who can I PM my old username to to help me out? (if it's even possible)
