POKEMON DIAMOND AND PEARL RIBBONS
In Diamond and Pearl, there's lots of Ribbons you can collect from around the world. Your ribbons are given to your Pokemon, and you can check your collection by going to the status menu of a Pokemon and scrolling to the last panel. Not only does this impress your friends, there is, however, a reward if you manage to get 10 ribbons. In the Resort Area, the Ribbon Society is an exclusive club that will let you enter if one of your Pokemon has at least 10 ribbons. Inside, you can buy more ribbons, or you can head to the second level to give your Pokemon a spa, which increases their happiness by more than a massage can.
Here's a list of the places you can get ribbons.
Mr. Footprint
Mr. Footprint can be found on Route 213, just east of Pastoria City. He will give you the Footprint Ribbon if your Pokemon has reached their maximum happiness quota.
Julia
Julia's house is in Sunyshore City, north of the Pokemon Center and up some stairs. She gives out several different ribbons depending on the day of the week. All you need to do is provide a word from your vocabulary to match her story, and you'll be awarded with a ribbon. Monday's ribbon is the Alert Ribbon, Tuesday's is Shock, Wednesday's is Downcast, Thursday's is Careless, Friday's is Relax, Saturday's is Snooze and Sunday's is Smile.
Pokemon League
All the Pokemon in your party will be awarded the Sinnoh Champ Ribbon if you successfully defeat the Elite 4 and Cynthia.
Seal Shop
This lady, found in Sunyshore's Seal Shop, will give you an Effort Ribbon if your Pokemon has accumulated all of its 510 Effort Values.
Battle Tower
| There are six Ribbons that you can earn at the Battle Tower, each for completing a particular task.
- Have 21 consecutive wins in the Single Battle Mode for the Ability Ribbon
- Have 49 consecutive wins in the Single Battle Mode for the Great Ability Ribbon
- Win 50 times in Double Battle Mode for the Double Ability Ribbon
- Win 50 times in Multi Battle Mode with a computer trainer for the Multi Ability Ribbon
- Win 50 times in Multi Battle Mode with a friend for a Pair Ability Ribbon
- Reach 5th place in the Wifi Battle Mode ranking for a World Ability Ribbon |
Sinnoh Contests
There are twenty Sinnoh Contest ribbons available: four difficulties for each of the five contest traits.
Ribbon Society
There are three ribbons that you can purchase at the Ribbon Society in the Resort Area. The Gorgeous ribbon retails at P10,000, the Royal at P100,000 and the Gorgeous Royal at P999,999. The lady will only sell these to your Pokemon in the order specified, so you cannot obtain a Gorgeous Royal Ribbon before a Royal Ribbon.
If you have Pokemon from Hoenn or Orre that have ribbons, and transfer them to Sinnoh via Pal Park, those ribbons will show up on the Ribbon screen.
Hoenn Champion
Beating the Hoenn Elite 4, and the Champion, earns you the Champion Ribbon.
Lilycove Museum
If you manage to get a painting of your Pokemon in Lilycove Museum, you will earn the Artist Ribbon.
Hoenn Battle Tower
If you manage to beat the level 50 challenge at the Battle Tower by getting a 56-win streak, you will earn the Winning Ribbon. If you manage to beat the level 100 challenge by getting a 56 win-streak, you will earn the Victory Ribbon.
Hoenn Contests
There are twenty Hoenn Contest ribbons available: four difficulties for each of the five contest traits.
Purification
If you successfully purify a shadow Pokemon from Orre (Colosseum or XD), you will get a National Ribbon.
Mt. Battle
If you manage to beat the Mt Battle Challenge, from battle 1 to battle 100, without changing your team, you will get an Earth Ribbon.
