Verdict: At first glance, Dugtrio doesn't seem special. Its HP, Defense and Special are low and its Attack isn't amazing. So why is Dugtrio dangerous? RBY's method of calculating Critical Hits. You see, CHs in RBY were determined by the user's Speed and, thus, Dugtrio has a very high chance of getting them, including a near 100% rate for Slash (which has a modified formula). Dugtrio abuses this by tearing through enemies left and right with CH Slashes and Earthquakes. As always, Rock Slide provides type coverage and Body Slam is solid filler (it doesn't really need a fourth move). Unfortunately, Dugtrio falls apart in GSC, after the formula is redone, but it is a menace in RBY.
