Other Options: Reflect, Counter; it can Growth and Mega Drain, but Tangela does it better.

Verdict: Parasect gets Spore, but its incredibly low Speed ruins it. RBY Parasect probably sets the record for "most 4x weaknesses on a single Pokemon": Fire, Flying and, because of RBY's weird type chart, Poison. In the old days, Parasect was hailed as a "Mewtwo killer" because of Leech Life, but don't be fooled. Body Slam, for example, always causes more damage, even against things who are 4x weak to Bug. Unfortunately, after squeezing in double powders and Swords Dance, it only has room for one Physical attack, hurting his offensive options. Otherwise, Parasect is cool, but just too slow and fragile to be much of a threat.
