Other Options: I lol'd.

Verdict: Golbat just might be the worst fully evolved Pokemon in RBY (other than Ditto, of course). It has awful stats, an awful typing that gives it weaknesses against Blizzard, Thunderbolt AND Psychic, and one of the smallest, baddest movepools in the entire game. Basically, Golbat should try to confuse something with Confuse Ray, Screech down its Defenses, and attempt to finish the opponent off with Hyper Beam. That sounds better in theory because Golbat will almost definitely die before pulling it off. Mega Drain is also its only offensive option against Rocks, but don't think it'll KO anything. Seriously... if the above four moves (which account for one-sixth of Golbat's RBY movepool, including tradebacks, by the way) are the best Golbat can do, it really has no hope in this generation.
