Other Options: Rock Slide, Surf, Counter, Lovely Kiss (NYPC)

Verdict: You'll notice these are the same exact moves that I recommended for Nidoqueen. However, the reason Nidoking works better than Nidoqueen is because his Speed and Attack (and, later, Special Attack) are better and make him more suited to use these moves. Anyway, these moves are all pretty obvious; Blizzard and Thunderbolt being the Special combination that isn't resisted by any Pokemon with Earthquake and Rock Slide being the Physical version. Body Slam, as always, has that great chance of paralysis, while Lovely Kiss gives him an accurate sleep inducer. Surf is kind of outclassed by the rest of Nidoking's movepool, but it does wipe out Pokemon who are 4x weak to Water better than Blizzard and Earthquake. Overall, Nidoking is a pretty decent choice, although the weakness to Psychic is still a big disadvantage.
