Verdict: Raticate only has one real trump card, that being Super Fang, but it's a good one. Raticate is also blessed with enough speed to attack before a lot of Pokemon. So, basically all it has to do is Super Fang something, be able to survive the opposing attack (which is harder than it sounds, as Raticate is extremely frail) and finish it off with Hyper Beam, Bubblebeam (against Rock/Grounds for quad damage) or Blizzard (for "power" against things that resist Hyper Beam). It doesn't have very good fourth move options, but Body Slam has its paralysis and Quick Attack will KO something weak. Overall, Raticate can actually be somewhat decent if played carefully.
