Other Options: Fire Spin, Slash (without Swords Dance), Reflect, Seismic Toss, Rock Slide (GSC Tradeback)

Verdict: A favorite Pokemon of six year old children everywhere, Charizard is about as versatile as the Fire type can get in RBY. While it's unfortunate that Rock Slide is merely a tradeback move, Body Slam and Earthquake are still a solid combo after getting boosted with Swords Dance, and Fire Blast or Flamethrower (which are fairly equal to each other) provide a STAB move. Slash will always CH for Charizard, so it is another good choice. Reflect can also boost Charizard's poor Defense, but it's kind of a waste. Overall, Charizard is pretty high in the ranks as far as the Fire type goes in this metagame, however.
