POKEMON DASH

Pokemon Dash is a new style of racing game with Pokemon, similar to Mario Kart Super Circuit. The game takes place on Pokemon Island and players work toward becoming the champion of the "Pokemon Dash Grand Prix". Dash is set to be released in Japan on December the 2nd, and some time in 2005 for the rest of the world. Dash uses BOTH screens of the Nintendo DS, the racing occurs on the touch panel screen where players slide the touch pen to make their character dash through the race circuit. The top screen displays a radar and other details. Races use check points, the fastest through them wins. However players must watch the radar to ensure nobody else sneaks in front of them. It appears to have a few minigames too. Dash also uses the WiFi feature in the DS - it has different slots for DS games and GBA games. If you put Emerald into the DS at the same time as Dash, a special Pikachu map will open up and unlock new features including new tracks! It also has multiplayer compatibility for up to 6 players.

This screen shows a minigame which we believe to be similar to the minigame in Monkey Ball where you try to land on a target.
This screen appears to be a Treasure Hunt or something similar. We don't really know, or care!
This appears to be just plain racing.
This appears to be at the start of a race.
