Strange dream @ 1:35 am PST (GMT -8) on Jul 24 2009. |
| |
I'm gonna write this down before I forget. I woke up from this weird dream about an hour ago, and here's how it went.
It began slightly inappropriately, but that part can be skipped because it contains little relevance anyways.
It starts out, I was at my father's house and I was hanging with his parrot their, but then I noticed there were 2 of the exact same parrot (he only has 1). I asked him about it and he seemed really uncomfortable and wouldn't answer, so I gave up and took a nap.
I had this dream (dreaming while in my dream), in which I was in that living room and I was visited by some lady. She seemed to be an other-worldly sorceress type and offered me promises of my desires in a delusional world. How she put it was, I would live in an alternate reality with fake copies of the living things I desired (in my dream I realized that that was why my dad had 2 birds, though it's not consistent with the alternate reality thing. I guess the subconscious plot engine of my brain needs a little practice). She then brought up the name of a certain girl I once had strong feelings for, trying to tempt me into this (damn villains having free access to my memory). I equated this with selling my soul to the devil so I turned how down quite angrily (in retrospect, if I had known it was a dream and taken her up on her offer, I wonder where it would have led ;) ). She didn't really like that but what could she do, I was just dreaming within my dream!
So I woke up from my dream in my dream (at this point I'm still dreaming, but now immersed just one level). I went back to my mother's house and was in my room when I saw a figure outside. I looked at it, and it was just like me! I knew, somehow, that it was a fake copy of me created in the witch's alternate reality, and had underestimated her since her powers extended beyond my dreams. I began to do battle with this copy, I don't remember the specifics but I punched him in the face a lot. He then transformed suddenly, and had on a full-body black suit that functioned as armor, which featured blades extending from his arms. So he slashed at me with these blades, and after minor injury, I beat the snot out of him again.
I returned to my room and proceeded as if nothing had happened, though I guess the witch was getting pissed now. Whenever I closed my eyes, my conscious would be taken into an imaginary room with the witch where my very soul was in danger. I just decided to keep my eyes open for as long as possible.
I left to go hang out with my friend, because it was the 4th of July (American Independence Day) after all! (News to me at the time). We were walking around what seemed to be downtown and I mentioned I had a strange dream the night before. He jumped in, "Oh yeah, about the witch right? Some other people had one too. They say if you had one you're going to get killed soon." And then he continued walking cheerfully, and I had a wtf look on my face. I knew what my brain had in store for me, and if you've ever seen Final Destination (a movie in which a group of friends unintentionally cheat death, which causes dangerous things go out of their way to happen to them) you would understand.
We neared a less urban residential area and there was a park where hundreds of people were gathered. My friend was like "Avoid those crowds, there are probably suicide bombers in them!" Which is ridiculous, but in a dream world (and with Final Destination-style logic), I wasn't going to take chances. I neared a more open area of the park, and was watching the fireworks fly all around. The potential danger of them occurred to me then, and I thought "What if one hits me in the neck!?" So I covered my neck with the sleeve of my jacket to protect it (lol) and kinda curled over while standing. A firework, this one actually came from beyond some trees, flew up, entered the park, and proceeded to hit me in the neck where I was covering it.
I was on the ground, and I could feel my neck gushing blood as I tried to cover it (luckily there was little pain sensation emulated). An ambulance arrived, I was lifted into it. The next thing I knew, I was laying down on a bench type thing in a small room with some people were holding rags to my neck (I guess that's all that modern science can do in these situations).
I suddenly switched perspectives into a young boy who was in the same room, and an older guy was now where I had lain. I heard a voice in my head, "This works out good for both of us so I can be in the Air Force again!" I have no idea what the hell this was relevant to, but I knew that was the boy's father and we were on a plane.
Then things suddenly reverted to normal. I was in my body, but rather than me being laying down injured it was some random girl. "Sucks for her," I thought, and just helped the people holding rags against her neck, (which I guess elevated me to the status of doctor since that's all they were capable of >_>). We eventually landed the plane at an elementary school, the girl had made a full recovery and we went into the school's bathroom to wash up. She gave me and my family (who was suddenly there?) a hug, and then went home, and I did the same.
As I was in my room, I closed my eyes to go to sleep (long day right?), to be greeted by that dumb witch again (I guess she still hadn't given up). I suddenly became really frustrated with it, which triggered a brief flash of lucidity, so I decided to wake up then (twice at once, that takes some talent).
I felt really relieved when I woke up that I didn't have a witch after me anymore. It was nearly 4am and I was no longer tired, so I hopped on the laptop of course. It truly was an exciting dream, so I thought I'd write it down before it was completely gone from my memory (though some details were lost in the first 5 minutes of me waking up).

Holy man. Awesome stuff.
Best of all, you recorded so many vivid details. You're a good dreamer, and you did well to record this right after you woke up (the time we best remember our dreams).
I LOVE recording dreams, and seeing this makes me want to get back in the habit of writing down my dreams immediately when I wake up. I really want to become a lucid dreamer, but I've only managed to do it once (and I got too excited when I did it and I woke myself up).

Worst day ever? @ 8:22 pm PST (GMT -8) on Jun 28 2009. |
| |
So yeah, Saturday kind of sucked. It was planned to be a carefree day of festivities, as my friend's graduation party was to be held and I wasn't going to miss it since I helped set up for it. He lives across the street from me, by the way.
So I went, ate some food, and went home to get some speakers for his laptop so we could enjoy the music a little more. I thought I'd give him access to my shared music folder so we could play some songs off of my laptop from across the street. I noticed my laptop was nearly dead, though, and wasn't charging. After screwing with the cord for a while, it refused to charge at all, and I just shut it down. Since I live on my laptop for several hours of the day, I was pretty frustrated at this point, because I had no way to use it. I took my laptop apart into many pieces, with an attempt at getting to the area where the cord plugs in to check for loose connections and whatnot. After some work, I managed to fix absolutely nothing, as the battery still wouldn't charge. I was demoralized and actually livid with anger, so I left my laptop where it was to go punch the door and wall a few times. To add to it, I had my mother nagging at me about something stupid, and these days the mere sound of her voice can easily put me into a rage.
I decided to go back to the open house to cool off a bit, so I chilled for a while to forget about it. As it got later, my friend's mom decided to have a birthday party for her friend there, so there were a rowdy bunch of drunks hanging around. My friends and I made a campfire and sat around it, I stole a sufficient amount of beer and rum, and I was actually feeling alright. Until I decided to go home, which is when I discovered I had no idea where my speakers or shoes were. I looked for about 15 minutes but couldn't find them, so I went home pissed again, because some idiot had probably gone home with them.
As I attempted to back into my house, my brother shut the door and tried to lock it as I was opening it (he was just trying to be annoying). I wasn't in any mood and forced it open, accidentally cracking part of the door frame in half. Everything just kept piling up! I went to my room to meet my laptop, still in pieces, on my bed, which didn't make me feel better. I went back to the living room and sat upright in a recliner doing nothing for about an hour straight, until my head was clear enough to go about things constructively. I grabbed a hammer and nails and patched the door up the best I could (it shuts and locks, at least), and I ended up finding my speakers (I guess a friend had brought them over at some point). I put my laptop back together, and while nothing was fixed, I hadn't damaged it at all either.
Today I ordered a new charger for my laptop, and it should be here in 2-3 days. I also went and saw the new Transformers movie, which was pretty cool. However, I still haven't found my shoes.
Until my new charger comes, my online time will be scarce.

Good day @ 9:34pm EST PST (GMT -8) on Jun 13 2009. |

I had a pretty sweet day today, so I feel like recollecting, you can listen if you want.
I woke up around 1:45pm and began getting myself cleaned up for my friend's graduation party. She lives close by, so I walked, and got there at around 2:30. I feasted on tacos, cake, meatballs, and chocolate (and mountain dew!) and spent a couple hours swimming around in the pool. Then I chilled in the hot tub, and as everybody left just 5 of us were sitting around talking. It was a beautiful day, just starting to cool down to around 70 degrees, and I was relaxing in a chair enjoying the occasional cool breeze. I felt pretty happy for the first time in a while, sharing moments with friends without a care, so I took it all in and savored it for a while. Eventually we cleaned up and left (3.5 hours after the party supposedly "ended"), and I was put in a good mood so I did most of the cleaning (despite just being a guest).
This is all completely irrelevant to every one of you, but when I got home (a little tired), put on some lounge pants and relaxed as I recollected the day I felt very at peace and had the urge to write it down. Also, first blog post in over a year :O.

Time Stand Still @ 8:33 pm PST (GMT -8) on Apr 19 2008. |

The subject has no relevance to the following content, it's just the title of the song that was playing as I began to type. I'm finally done watching all of that Tenchi anime.
I haven't been playing Guitar Hero much lately, but I've made progress in small amounts. I now have all of the main setlist 5 starred with the exceptions of Raining Blood, Cliffs of Dover, and One. The only song I can feasibly see happening soon is One.
I was at school buying lunch the other day, and the computer showed that somebody had already bought a lunch using my account number. I tried to convince the lunch staff otherwise, and that there was a problem with the program (the lunch was shown being bought at 12:01, but it was only 11:59 when this happened, on the same day), but to no avail. Now I am required to use my ID card every time I buy lunch. :(
I'm not giving utorrent a rest; I just finished downloading a lot of Final Fantasy music, mostly from the FFIX OST.
Now, I need to return to working on silly things like mIRC Scripts. Farewell!

Now that I think about it I had a WILD PARTY with tons of booze and pot and there were topless chicks everywhere. It was going great and then suddenly my alarm clock rang and I awoke and began to cry.

Downloading pirated films is stealing! Stealing is against the law! @ 8:53 am PST (GMT -8) on Apr 7 2008. |

(I could really care less :D). I finished torrenting all of that Tenchi Muyo!, and I've actually finished all of the OVA series and movies. After doing some research and going over my files, I noticed the torrent didn't include the special 20th episode of the OVA, Final Confrontations. I searched around the internet, and NOTHING had it available for download. I was able to watch a copy on Veoh, but I felt like I needed it on my hard drive for a complete set (kind of a perfectionist outlook, but I can be in some aspects). I tried dozens of programs that supposedly let you download videos from YouTube and Veoh, but to absolutely no avail. I ran across an article on a random forum that showed how to download Veoh videos with the Veoh TV Beta thing, but I had already tried that, and wasn't able to install it because of my operating system. Luckily, I had Krisp around to save my ass, so she downloaded that video for me and sent it to me (big favor, it was nearly 300mb ♥). I'll start on the next spinoff series shortly, probably Tenchi Muyo! GXP. For now, I need to get cleaned up, because I'm scheduled to own my friends in guitar hero later today.
