Many News Things @ 9:43 am PST (GMT -8) on Aug 26 2009. |
| |
So, first of all, if you haven't seen it already, you need to go see
(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar.
It's the best geek song to hit the web since Still Alive.
In other news, I head back to school tomorrow, for a week of RA training before
the first years move in, and then a couple more days before classes start. I'm
going to be a SENIOR. It's kind of scary.
And in Pokemon news, I've been playing through Emerald again, with the following team:
Swampert -
Muddy Water
Earthquake
Surf
Ice Beam
Breloom -
Spore
Focus Punch
Giga Drain
Leech Seed
Slaking -
Hyper Beam
Shadow Ball
Slack Off
Earthquake
Manectric - Static
Thunder
Bite
Thunder Wave
Rain Dance
Camerupt -
Eruption
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Return
Altaria -
Dragon Claw
Sky Attack - lvl 59
Iron Tail
Fly
They're all currently level 54, and I'm just about to take on the pokemon
league. Leveling up my Shroomish to 54 so it could learn spore before it
evolved into a Breloom was a pain in the ass, but the Spore/Focus Punch
combo is so worth it.

I was planning on replaying Emerald too and thinking about using Breloom. Guess I won't. Thanks for the warning. :P

Absolutely brilliant link. I have now watched The Guils up to Series 3, Episode 2. Thanks!

im a big fan of the guild, however that
song is terrible, the lyrics are amusing
at times but the tone is so flat and
boring...sigh gotta love it when small
programs upsize and commercialise...

ZOMBIE WANT BRAINS @ 6:43 am PST (GMT -8) on Jul 15 2009. |

So, it's been over a year since my last blog post here. The last year has been
busy and full, and I'm now looking ahead to my Senior year in college. Scary,
I know.
Anyway, I'll be trying to update this on a semi-regular basis now, but no promises.
On the plus side, I updated my profile too, including adding my Twitter. So,
if you want to be all creepy-like, you can follow my tweets too.

DONE @ 6:55 am PST (GMT -8) on May 22 2008. |

I'm done with another school year. I'm now a Junior. THAT's scary.
Anyway, I should be able to spend more time on Psypoke than I have in the last week or two now. Yay.

Good job. :>

It's the weekend!
Quick recap, because it's awesome: This semester I'm taking Advanced Statistical
Modeling (henceforth to be referred to as Stats 316) on Tuesday/Thursday, and
Probability Theory, Game Theory in Economics, and a Theology class titled The
Greats. I <3 Probability Theory at this point, and Stats 316, while intimidating, is
going to be fun as well, I think. Game Theory (in Economics) is a little bit too
economics-y for my taste, but still pretty interesting and fun so far. And, The
Greats, while a required Theology class, is shaping up to be not too bad either; the
Prof is young and pretty interesting so far. MUCH better than my required Bible
course (both are in the Religion department, for future reference), which was a
joke; I'd already learned 90% of the things in that class from stuff I did before
college, and the Prof was old, annoying, and talked too much on stuff that was at
some level above the intro-level stuff the class was supposed to be about, and
consequently wasn't interesting.
I'm doing homework tonight, with the incentive of getting it done sooner rather
than later.
Also, I <3 Summer Glau in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I finished EV training my Battle Frontier team, and equaled out their levels to
71, because that's where my Steelix was after I finished EV training.
Also, a shameless plug for the Psypoke Fantasy Baseball League:
