Haven't posted for a while because my life is, to be honest, pretty boring. It's doubtful anybody would want to read about it.
In any case, I'm still working through my first semester here at MTU. I've got my schedule for next semester planned out, which includes but is not limited to Beginning Billiards. :O It gives 0.5 of 3.0 physical education credits required to graduate, so I swear I'm not just wasting time!
I had actually wanted to instead take the single Japanese course that is offered here, but it turns out it's not available for the spring semester. I guess I'll have to wait until next fall. In its stead, I decided to "purchase" Rosetta Stone and spend some time practicing.
On another note...it seems I not only get a long weekend for Thanksgiving break, but the entire week afterwards off. My mom suggested I visit home during this time, but I'm still unsure if I should. The drive is about 10 hours each way and it's ~$120 in gas for a round trip (unless prices have changed drastically; I haven't had to get gas for a while). She DID offer to pay for some of the gas, and I am homesick, but it just seems like an awful lot for a single week.
