I'm gonna write this down before I forget. I woke up from this weird dream about an hour ago, and here's how it went.
It began slightly inappropriately, but that part can be skipped because it contains little relevance anyways.
It starts out, I was at my father's house and I was hanging with his parrot there, but then I noticed there were 2 of the exact same parrot (he only has 1). I asked him about it and he seemed really uncomfortable and wouldn't answer, so I gave up and took a nap.
I had this dream (dreaming while in my dream), in which I was in that living room and I was visited by some lady. She seemed to be an other-worldly sorceress type and offered me promises of my desires in a delusional world. How she put it was, I would live in an alternate reality with fake copies of the living things I desired (in my dream I realized that that was why my dad had 2 birds, though it's not consistent with the alternate reality thing. I guess the subconscious plot engine of my brain needs a little practice). She then brought up the name of a certain girl I once had strong feelings for, trying to tempt me into this (damn villains having free access to my memory). I equated this with selling my soul to the devil so I turned how down quite angrily (in retrospect, if I had known it was a dream and taken her up on her offer, I wonder where it would have led ;) ). She didn't really like that but what could she do, I was just dreaming within my dream!
So I woke up from my dream in my dream (at this point I'm still dreaming, but now immersed just one level). I went back to my mother's house and was in my room when I saw a figure outside. I looked at it, and it was just like me! I knew, somehow, that it was a fake copy of me created in the witch's alternate reality, and had underestimated her since her powers extended beyond my dreams. I began to do battle with this copy, I don't remember the specifics but I punched him in the face a lot. He then transformed suddenly, and had on a full- body black suit that functioned as armor, which featured blades extending from his arms. So he slashed at me with these blades, and after minor injury, I beat the snot out of him again.
I returned to my room and proceeded as if nothing had happened, though I guess the witch was getting pissed now. Whenever I closed my eyes, my conscious would be taken into an imaginary room with the witch where my very soul was in danger. I just decided to keep my eyes open for as long as possible.
I left to go hang out with my friend, because it was the 4th of July (American Independence Day) after all! (News to me at the time). We were walking around what seemed to be downtown and I mentioned I had a strange dream the night before. He jumped in, "Oh yeah, about the witch right? Some other people had one too. They say if you had one you're going to get killed soon." And then he continued walking cheerfully, and I had a wtf look on my face. I knew what my brain had in store for me, and if you've ever seen Final Destination (a movie in which a group of friends unintentionally cheat death, which causes dangerous things go out of their way to happen to them) you would understand.
We neared a less urban residential area and there was a park where hundreds of people were gathered. My friend was like "Avoid those crowds, there are probably suicide bombers in them!" Which is ridiculous, but in a dream world (and with Final Destination-style logic), I wasn't going to take chances. I neared a more open area of the park, and was watching the fireworks fly all around. The potential danger of them occurred to me then, and I thought "What if one hits me in the neck!?" So I covered my neck with the sleeve of my jacket to protect it (lol) and kinda curled over while standing. A firework, this one actually came from beyond some trees, flew up, entered the park, and proceeded to hit me in the neck where I was covering it.
I was on the ground, and I could feel my neck gushing blood as I tried to cover it (luckily there was little pain sensation emulated). An ambulance arrived, I was lifted into it. The next thing I knew, I was laying down on a bench type thing in a small room with some people were holding rags to my neck (I guess that's all that modern science can do in these situations).
I suddenly switched perspectives into a young boy who was in the same room, and an older guy was now where I had lain. I heard a voice in my head, "This works out good for both of us so I can be in the Air Force again!" I have no idea what the hell this was relevant to, but I knew that was the boy's father and we were on a plane.
Then things suddenly reverted to normal. I was in my body, but rather than me being laying down injured it was some random girl. "Sucks for her," I thought, and just helped the people holding rags against her neck, (which I guess elevated me to the status of doctor since that's all they were capable of >_>). We eventually landed the plane at an elementary school, the girl had made a full recovery and we went into the school's bathroom to wash up. She gave me and my family (who was suddenly there?) a hug, and then went home, and I did the same.
As I was in my room, I closed my eyes to go to sleep (long day right?), to be greeted by that dumb witch again (I guess she still hadn't given up). I suddenly became really frustrated with it, which triggered a brief flash of lucidity, so I decided to wake up then (twice at once, that takes some talent).
I felt really relieved when I woke up that I didn't have a witch after me anymore. It was nearly 4am and I was no longer tired, so I hopped on the laptop of course. It truly was an exciting dream, so I thought I'd write it down before it was completely gone from my memory (though some details were lost in the first 5 minutes of me waking up).
Best of all, you recorded so many vivid details. You're a good dreamer, and you did well to record this right after you woke up (the time we best remember our dreams).
I LOVE recording dreams, and seeing this makes me want to get back in the habit of writing down my dreams immediately when I wake up. I really want to become a lucid dreamer, but I've only managed to do it once (and I got too excited when I did it and I woke myself up).
I'm with Registeel_Rocks.Dreams are weird and awesome.Dreams are your sub-concios(spelling?) trying to tell you something, but I have no idea what this may mean.
